5 Pet Cats Rescued From Burning Miami Home
5 pet cats were rescued from a home that caught fire in Miami on Tuesday though one required medical attention.

MIAMI, FL — Five pet cats have a collective 40 lives left after being rescued from a home that caught fire in Miami on Tuesday. One of the cats required medical attention but all were doing fine. The fire broke out at 4:26 p.m. in the 2200 block of SW 21st Street.
Capt. Ignatius Carroll of Miami Fire Rescue told Patch that firefighters found heavy flames and smoke coming from the rear of the home when they arrived on the scene. He said that two adults had already managed to get out of the home.
"Firefighters were informed that several family pets were inside," he said. "Five cats were removed from the house, one needed medical attention," Carroll explained. "All cats are doing fine and have been reunited with the owner."

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
