Bank Robber Makes Getaway On Bicycle
It wasn't exactly the Tour de France, but a very fit bank robber managed to elude police Saturday by making his getaway on a bicycle.

HIALEAH, FL — It wasn't exactly the Tour de France, but a very fit bank robber managed to elude police Saturday by making his getaway on a bicycle.
The unconventional holdup took place at a First Bank branch on Saturday morning at 1325 W 49th Street in the Miami suburb of Hialeah.

"The robber entered the bank, brandished a gun and demanded everyone to lay on the floor," according to Special Agent Michael Leverock and spokesman Jim Marshall of the FBI in Miami.
"The robber then jumped the counter and demanded money from a bank employee."

The FBI released a photograph of the bank robber taken from a surveillance camera. He can be seen pedaling outside the bank.
The FBI would not say how much money was taken during the robbery but it was apparently not enough to slow down the fast-moving bank robber.
"Customers were in the bank at the time of the robbery," according to Leverock and Marshall. "There were no injuries."
