The Best Places To Eat In FL For 2024: The Ultimate List

FLORIDA — We all have a favorite place to eat in Florida, and food critics, food magazines and networks, and other groups agree, including some of them in 2024 “best of” lists and awards.

One measure of the quality of restaurants and eateries in Florida is the number of James Beard winners in 2024.

One Miami-area chef, Valerie Chang, won big at the awards this year. The owner of Maty’s, she was named Best Chef: South. Other Florida chefs and eateries were also nominated for James Beard awards.

While the James Beard awards may be "the Oscars of food," there are plenty of other ways Florida restaurants earned recognition in 2024.
