Brazen Bayside Thief Steals $60,000 In Electronics

Miami police released surveillance video from the burglary on Wednesday in the hope that someone will recognize the bandit.

MIAMI, FL — A brazen thief with expensive taste escaped with $60,000 worth of merchandise from a Bayside electronics shop and Miami police are asking for the public's help in finding him. The burglary happened on Dec. 28 at Electronic World, 401 Biscayne Boulevard. The store was closed at the time.

Officer Christopher Bess of the Miami Police Department said that the incident took place shortly before 6:30 a.m. Miami police released surveillance video from the burglary on Wednesday in the hope that someone will recognize the bandit.

"An unknown male was seen on surveillance video footage shattering the store’s front glass during non-operational hours," said Bess. "Once inside of the store, the offender targeted a variety of pricey electronics including Apple products, Go-Pro cameras, smart watches, and a host of other items."

Bess said that the thief placed the electronics in a bag before leaving the store in an unknown direction.

"Burglary investigators are looking for a medium built, possibly Hispanic male, high-top fade haircut, tattoos, clean shaven, between 20-30 years-old, last seen wearing a white T-shirt, dark colored pants, and black shoes," Bess added.
