1. South Florida icon Versailles Restaurant, birthplace of "La Ventanita" is celebrating its 50th anniversary. It started with a coffee stand by Cuban businessman Felipe Valls known today as the famous "ventanita" or little window and then morphed into the restaurant we know and love today. (CBS Miami)

2. A man was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center after a shooting on Miami Beach along 29th Street and Collins Avenue. Police say the victim was "seated inside of his parked vehicle at the time that his vehicle was fired upon multiple times, striking him at least once." Police are searching for two suspects involved in the incident. (WSVN)
3. 5 Florida school boards including Miami-Dade and Broward counties are appealing the decision on masks ruled on by a judge last week. Some counties scaled back mask rules after the case came before Administrative Law Judge Brian Newman. (CBS Miami)
4. South Florida State Senator Shevrin Jones (D-West Park) has filed a bill that would end driver’s license suspensions for Floridians facing certain court fines. Jones says he expects a House bill to be introduced by the end of the week. (Florida Politics)
5. . A 71-year-old woman and her 1-year-old grandson suffered non-life-threatening injuries when their car was hit by a Brightline train Monday in South Florida. The woman turned on the tracks for unknown reasons. The day marked the return of the train after a 20-month pandemic pause. None of the 53 passengers on the train were hurt, including Brightline President Patrick Goddard, who was headed to Fort Lauderdale station for a ceremony. (WPLG Local 10)
