Here are the top stories in Miami today:
1. An Everglades City resident captured a large gator swimming through an Everglades canal while carrying a large, dead python in his mouth. The video of the July 24 encounter was shared on Facebook. (Miami Patch)
2. The NFL notified the Miami Dolphins Tuesday that the team would be stripped of its 2023 first-round pick, along with disciplinary measures, for violations of league policies relating to the integrity of the game including the league's anti-tampering policies. Team owner Stephen Ross has been fined $1.5 million and suspended through October 17. (ESPN)
3. Vibra Urbana, the largest reggaeton festival in the USA, is set to return this winter on December 10 and 11 at the Miami-Dade County Fair & Expo grounds. Over 40 artists will be performing at the festival including Maluma, J Balvin, Don Omar, Nicky Jam and more. Tickets go on sale August 14. (Miami New Times)
4. Brightline is preparing to begin testing trains at 110 miles per hour this fall. It will be the fastest speed for the train line as the service prepares to connect South Florida to Orlando, with the first station planned for Orlando International Airport. (The Next Miami)
5. Miami Beach Commissioner Alex Fernandez is calling for more action as monkeypox cases climb in South Florida and across the state. "We need to be aggressive in stopping the transmission of this virus," said Fernandez. (NBC Miami)

- YOLO Restaurant on Las Olas is participating in Dine Out Lauderdale. A variety of restaurants in Broward County are offering specialty promotions to diners this month that are $35 or $45 and hope to promote dining local as summer comes to an end. (WSVN)
- A number of Miami chefs are making their own version of Klondike's Choco Taco after the internet mourned its demise. (Miami New Times)
