1. Two large Burmese pythons, a clutch of eggs and hatchlings were found and removed from Big Cypress National Preserve in South Florida on Monday night, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission shared on its Facebook page. The pythons are not native to Florida. FWC encourages people to remove and humanely kill pythons on public and private lands. (Miami Patch)
2. Trump International Beach Resort Miami is offering a special discounted menu for Miami Spa Month from July 1 to August 31. Treatments can be booked any day of the week except for Mondays and Tuesdays. The Aquanox Spa invites guests to relax and rejuvenate themselves at the hotel. (Miami's Community News)
3. A South Florida truck driver has been sentenced to 55 years in prison for fatally stabbing his driving partner while the man was behind the wheel of their truck along an eastern Indiana highway. The men were working for a Florida trucking company when the stabbing occurred. (WPLG Local 10)
4. A local restaurant in South Florida's Little Haiti, Boia De, has become a target of a cyber crime seeking to extort money to remove negative reviews online. Boia De recently became the recipient of a Michelin star. An e-mail read, "Unfortunately, negative feedback about your establishment has been left by us and will appear in the future, one review a day. … We are begging you to send us a Google Play gift card worth $75." 5. Miami Dade College is facing a food donation shortage that has not recovered since the pandemic began. More than 1,700 visits were made college-wide pantry this past fall and spring, according to Single Stop Director Janet Mapp. Items needed include canned foods, protein packets, fruit cups, macaroni and cheese, ramen noodles and dried fruits.
