Chase Bank Branch Robbed In Miami

A lone bank robber held up a Chase Bank branch in Miami on Tuesday and escaped with an unspecified amount of cash.

MIAMI, FL — The FBI is searching for a lone bank robber who held up a Chase Bank branch on Tuesday afternoon in Miami. The robbery took place around 1:10 p.m. The branch is located at 6800 Biscayne Blvd.

"The robber entered the bank and demanded money from a bank employee," according to Special Agent Michael Leverock and spokesman Jim Marshall of the FBI in Miami. (Sign up for our free Daily Newsletters and Breaking News Alerts for the Miami Patch.)
No one was injured.

The FBI released photographs of the suspect taken from surveillance cameras. The FBI would not say how much money was taken during the robbery.

"Customers were in the bank at the time of the robbery," according to Leverock and Marshall. "There were no injuries."

A second Chase bank location in Weston was robbed about 20 minutes earlier, according to the FBI.
