Child Airlifted Following Multi-Vehicle Crash In Hialeah Gardens

HIALEAH GARDENS, FL — A child was airlifted to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center on Tuesday night following a multi-vehicle crash. The crash occurred on Okeechobee Road.

"There were a total of three vehicles involved," Lt. Alex Camacho of the Florida Highway Patrol told Patch.

Camacho also said on Wednesday morning that the child's condition had improved to stable.

The westbound lanes of Okeechobee road were shut down for about 30 minutes following the crash, according to Camacho.
