2. Publix heiress and former board member Carol Jenkins Barnett has died at age 65. She was diagnosed with younger-onset Alzheimer’s disease in 2016. A memorial service is planned for 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 11th in Lakeland. (Spectrum News 13)

3. A plaza in Weston had to be evacuated after a major mistake was made on Wednesday morning. Burners at a restaurant were left on overnight and caused a gas leak. The all clear notice was given by the afternoon. (WSVN)

4. The judge has declared a mistrial in the Dayonte Resiles murder case after the jury said Wednesday that they could not reach a unanimous decision on any charge after more than five days of deliberations. (WPLG Local 10)
