Dog Carried To Safety From Burning Miami-Dade Apartment
WATCH: A dog was rescued from a burning apartment Thursday night in southwest Miami-dade County.

MIAMI, FL — A dog was rescued from a burning apartment Thursday night in southwest Miami-dade County. The fire broke out around 8:21 p.m. at 7390 SW 107 Ave.
"When the first unit arrived on scene, they saw heavy, black smoke coming from a second-story window," according to a spokesperson for Miami-Dade Fire Rescue.

"They immediately made entry into the home, where they saw the fire coming from the kitchen," the spokesperson said. "Firefighters quickly worked to knock down the fire. While searching the apartment for occupants, a dog was found on the balcony and rescued."
Video released by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue shows the dog being carried to safety down an exterior staircase. Watch below:

"Other crews on scene checked adjacent apartment units in order to evacuate occupants and to check if the fire had extended to other parts of the building," the spokesperson added. "There were no reported injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation."
