FBI Searches For Gunman Who Robbed Hampton Inn
The FBI is searching for a gunman who held up a Hampton Inn Monday during a brazen daytime robbery with hotel guests on the property.

HALLANDALE BEACH, FL — The FBI is searching for a gunman who held up a Hampton Inn Monday during a brazen daytime robbery with hotel guests on the property.
The same gunman is also being sought in connection with an armed robbery that took place at a Shell station in Tamarac on Monday, according to Special Agent Michael Leverock and spokesman Jim Marshall of the FBI in Miami. The Hampton Inn is located at 1000 S. Federal Highway while the Shell station is located at 5001 N. State Road 7.

"At each location, the robber entered the business, displayed a firearm and demanded money from an employee," said Leverock and Marshall.
"The robber is wanted on Hobbs Act robbery charges and should be considered armed and dangerous," they added.

The FBI and its South Florida Violent Crime Task Force are involved in the investigation under an initiative to assist local law enforcement agencies in combating violent armed robberies. The Hallandale Beach Police Department is also involved with the investigation.
