Firstbank Florida Branch Held Up In Hialeah

A lone thief held up a Firstbank Florida branch in Hialeah on Wednesday and escaped with an unspecified amount of cash.

HIALEAH, FL — The FBI is searching for a lone thief who held up a Firstbank Florida branch on Wednesday. The robbery took place around 3:30 p.m. The branch is located at 1325 W 49th Street.

"The robber entered the bank and demanded money from a bank employee," according to Special Agent Michael Leverock and spokesman Jim Marshall of the FBI in Miami.

"There were customers in the bank at the time of the robbery," they added.

No one was injured.

The FBI released photographs of the suspect taken from surveillance cameras. Officials would not say how much money was taken in the robbery.
