1. A Florida attorney was arrested after the Palm Beach Sheriff's Office said he tried to smuggle fake legal papers soaked in cocaine into a local jail. David Casals was charged Friday with trafficking in cocaine, delivery of cocaine, and introduction of contraband into a county facility. (NBC Miami)
2. Keralty Hospital Miami has been appointed a new Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Abid Chaudhry. Dr. Chaudhry earned his medical degree at Ibero-American University in Dominican Republic. He completed his residency at the Brooklyn Hospital Center and has served on multiple medical leadership committees. (Miami's Community News)
3. The Coconut Grove Playhouse is awaiting a court resolution to a dispute between City of Miami and Miami-Dade County after 15 years of waiting. The Coconut Grove Playhouse Grassroots Team says the county's plans do not meet state or federal standards for historic restoration and are fighting to preserve the heritage of Coconut Grove. 4. The Miami Police Department is looking for two men seen on video burglarizing a mini-market near Northwest 25th Avenue and Northwest 20th Street in Miami. Owners say more than $1,000 was stolen from the store. (WPLG Local 10)
5. A 22-year-old Oldsmar man has been charged with several counts of possessing improvised explosive devices after he was seen running from a political protest concerning the January 6th, 2021 Insurrection on Capitol Hill that happened in Washington D.C. (Tampa Patch)
