Miami area native Flo Rida turned Miami Beach into "My House" with his chart-topping hits during a holiday concert on the beach: Photos.

MIAMI BEACH, FL — Miami area native Flo Rida turned Miami Beach into "My House" over the long Memorial Day weekend as he hit the sand with his chart-topping hits, star power and even several generous sprays of champagne for his unsuspecting audience.

"Oh my God. It was 10 out of 10," declared Eimear of Ireland, who was visiting Miami Beach from Ireland with her friends. "Flo Rida was unreal. He still has it. He's still got it."

Born Tramar Lacel Dillard in the Carol City section of Miami Gardens, the international celebrity better known as Flo Rida, capped off this year's third annual National Salute to America’s Heroes presented by Hyundai, which is billed as a patriotic two-day event over Memorial Day weekend to pay tribute, honor and encourage military and first responders. Flo Rida headlined a virtual squadron of musical artists on the beach that included LV, Andre Archat, U.S. Army's As You Were Band, U.S. Air Force Max Impact Band, U.S. Air Force Honor Guard Drill Team and Young Musicians Unite.

Topping the charts for more than a decade, Flo Rida performed his breakout single "Low," as he invited a a number of women from the audience up on stage to dance. The song was number one for 10 weeks in the United States and took the artist around the world.

Flo Rida has sold more than 80 million digital downloads, making him one of the best-selling music artists. His debut studio album in 2008, "Mail on Sunday," reached number four in the U.S.

He followed that up in 2009 with "R.O.O.T.S." His subsequent albums included 2010's "Only One Flo (Part 1)" and 2012's "Wild Ones."

His other hits include "Right Round," "Club Can't Handle Me," "Good Feeling," "Wild Ones," "Whistle," "I Cry," "G.D.F.R.," and "My House."

Sunday's show included a special nighttime pyro parachute demonstration by the Army's Golden Knights and also featured the Black Daggers Parachute Demonstration Team of the Army Special Operations Command along with a fireworks extravaganza.

"Roxana Gonzalez of Miami Beach didn't have far to travel with her parents to catch the show, but she enjoyed every minute of it.

She told Patch she knew all of the songs even though she is only in Middle School.

"It was really good honestly," she explained. "Me and my parents didn't want to stay at home all day, so we came here because it's the craziest place. It's really wild out here."
