1. A South Florida jury reached a non-guilty verdict in the trial of former Broward Sheriff’s Officer deputy Christopher Krickovich. He was charged with misdemeanor battery for the 2019 arrest of a high school student, which was caught on multiple cameras, including body-worn cameras by police. (WSVN)
2. A South Florida landlord has been arrested in a deadly shooting over the weekend that left his tenant dead. Samural Gonzalez, 34, is charged with 2nd degree murder. His tenant, 27-year-old Armando Alvarez, was found in a pool of blood by police. (CBS Miami)
3. The Blakery, a popular cookie shop, is opening its first brick-and-mortar shop at Time Out Market Miami in South Beach on August 1. The menu includes a special Time Out Market cookie. Guests will also be able to build-their-own ice cream sandwich there. (Time Out Miami)
4. The Pan Am globe has found a new home at Miami Worldcenter. Most of Worldcenter is still under construction, but it is expected to have new shops, cafes and a new commissioned public art display by next year. (NBC Miami)
5. Formula One is investing up to $500,000 to support small business owners in Miami Gardens through business loans. Formula One is running its racing event in Miami Gardens for at least the next decade. The loan program will be run by Community Fund of North Miami Dade. (Florida Politics)

- A troubled Lauderhill police lieutenant, Lt. Michael Bigwood, has agreed to retire after an internal affairs investigation into his conduct, a department insider says. The investigation was one of many for the officer. (WPLG Local 10)
- On Tuesday, The South Miami Planning Board will consider a transit-oriented development rezoning application at 6075 Sunset Drive. The developer wants to build apartments next to the South Miami Metrorail Station. (Subscription: South Florida Business Journal)
