1. A standoff between police and a man wanted by U.S. Marshals in Aventura came to an end after hours that came to a head when the man climbed on the roof of an apartment building. It was not the first run-in the man had with authorities. (WSVN)

2. Mask Fight Continues: The Florida Board Of Education voted sanction some school districts in the state over mask mandates, including Broward County and Miami-Dade County. The attacks led some counties to end their mask mandates. (CBS Miami)
3. St. Fort's Funeral Home in North Miami Beach says the demand for funerals has more than doubled after the rise of the Delta variant in Florida. There are about 10 to 15 funerals a day now, up from 1 to 5, straining funeral homes. (NBC Miami)
4. The Florida Department of Transportation on Friday successfully deferred a resolution to recommend Bus Rapid Transit for Kendall. Officials are going to meet with transportation officials to try and find out what can be done to find transit solutions for the area. (Miami Today)
5. Twenty-year-old Warneric Buckner is being held without bond after a Thursday court appearance in connection to the El Mula Banquet Hall shooting. (Patch Miami)
