Halloween means spooky good fun awaits at Sarasota's first ever Halloween Trail Carnival.

SARASOTA, FL — With school back in session, Halloween can't be far behind. This year that means spooky good fun awaits at Sarasota's first ever Halloween Trail Carnival.
The city's Parks & Recreation District announced Monday that the new event will be held on Friday, Oct. 25 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Arlington Park & Aquatic Complex.
"The event will allow citizens the opportunity to participate in games, trick or treating and a costume contest around the walking trail of the park," said parks and recreation officials. "The event is free of charge and is geared toward families."

Businesses and organizations are encouraged to host a booth at the event. "Community partners will be allowed to set up a booth in the park to promote their organization or business and provide a family friendly activity such as interactive game or activity and pass out candy to the trick or treaters," parks and recreation officials explained.
Located less than two miles from downtown Sarasota, Arlington Park was selected as one of the South Florida locations on the Great Florida Birding & Wildlife Trail.
