Hurricane Michael: Donate Emergency Supplies At Dolphin Mall

The Dolphin Mall will be accepting donations of emergency supplies through an initiative by the Miami Police Department and others.

MIAMI, FL — With Florida's Panhandle still recovering from Hurricane Michael, a number of Miami area organizations have come together to extend a helping hand. The Miami Police Department and other organizations, including iHeartRadio, will be collecting emergency supplies outside Dolphin Mall all day Monday. The collections began on Sunday.

The Miami Police Department has partnered with iHeartMedia-iHeartRadio, Mobile Mike Media & Entertainment, Elvis Duran, Enrique Santos, Papa Keith, The Paul Castronovo show and Dolphin Mall to coordinate a Hurricane Michael Relief Effort along with other law enforcement operation.

Organizers are requesting that donations be limited to the following goods:

  • New Generators
  • Plywood
  • Construction Materials (Hammers, nails, plumbing & roofing supplies)
  • Pop Up Tents
  • Gas Cans
  • Baby Diapers, Baby Food, Baby Wipes (Only unopened boxed items no single items)
  • Large boxes of sealed canned foods (No single or bagged items)
  • New Blankets, Cots, sleeping bags, air mattresses (no opened items)
  • Large unopened bags of pet food or full boxes of canned pet food (no open items)

There will be no clothing or used items accepted at this location. Every item must be boxed and labeled.

All donations can be dropped off at Dolphin Mall (11401 NW 12 Street, Miami) in the West Valet area between Cabo Flats and Cheesecake Factory on Monday (Nov. 5). On Tuesday, November 6 donations will be accepted at The Shops at Pembroke Gardens, 527 SW 145th Terrace. Donation hours will be from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.

iHeartRadio-Mobile Mike Media & Entertainment monster trucks will travel with law-enforcement vehicles to northern Florida with volunteers from multiple agencies. They will be departing on Wednesday, Nov. 7 at 6 a.m. with stops in Mexico Beach and Panama City.
