Hello again, hello! Happy Saturday! I'm back with your new copy of the Miami Daily. Let's get this Saturday started off right, with a quick review of the most important things happening in town these days.

Here are the top five stories in Miami today:

1. A South Florida political activist and atheist, Chaz Stevens, was allowed to give a Satanic invocation at a Lauderdale-by-the-Sea town commission meeting. It was the second time the commission allowed him to recite a prayer before a government meeting. The activist is not actually a member of the Satanic church and did not invoke Satan during his speech, but seeks to make a statement about separation of church and state. (Miami Patch)

2. The Florida Small Business Development Center (FSBDC) at Florida International University FIU) Business has been recognized as the Florida SBDC Network Center of the Year for 2022. The center provides "no-cost consulting and guidance on topics including financial management, business strategy, access to capital and market analysis." (FIU News)

3. Miami Children’s Museum has been awarded a $100,000 grant from the Hearst Foundations. The funds will be used for an upcoming summer camp, a STEAM Integration Program for Early Head Start/Head Start, an after-school program and public programs. (WPLG Local 10)

4. A man accused of selling a toxic industrial bleach as a COVID-19 cure nicknamed "Miracle Mineral Solution" through his Florida-based church has been returned to the United States in Miami to stand trial after being arrested in Colombia and defying a court order to stop selling the toxic substance. Mark Grenon, 64, of the Genesis II Church of Health and Healing will have his trial begin September 12. (WPLG Local 10)

5. A New York City restaurant group known for French concepts is bringing Le Jardin Boucherie, an outdoor garden-themed restaurant to 81 Washington Avenue, Miami Beach in early 2023. The inside of the restaurant will have a French brasserie theme and an omakase area as well as a Japanese speakeasy. (Time Out Miami)

• A man driving a sanitation truck was struck by a Broward Sheriff's Office vehicle early Friday at 5:30 a.m. in Pompano Beach. (NBC Miami)
• Dr. Marta Perez, a 24-year veteran of the Miami-Dade County School Board, is running again for her District 8 seat on the board. (Miami's Community News)
• A precautionary "No Contact with Water" advisory has been issued in Miami Beach for the waters adjacent to the Venetian Isles and Maurice Gibb Park. Swimming or engaging in recreational water activity is not recommended near this location until the advisory is lifted. (Twitter)
• Police have arrested and charged a Miami woman who police say stole nearly $119,000 from several families after running a fraudulent travel agency and selling fake airline tickets to Cuba and Nicaragua. (NBC Miami)
