Local Leaders Recognize Surfside First Responders

A special recognition for the first responders who risked their lives in the Surfside collapse was held Wednesday.

Local leaders recognized Miami-Dade police and fire departments and employees with the medical examiner’s office for their efforts during the tragedy.

Hundreds of first responders spent weeks digging through the debris of the Champlain Towers South following the June 24th collapse.
