1. Gun Scare: Boyd Anderson High School in South Florida's Lauderdale Lakes had a student bring a gun to school on Friday. Deputies detained the student and secured the weapon while the school went on a temporary lockdown. (WSVN)

2. Fresco y Más, Harveys Supermarket and Winn-Dixie pharmacies will offer the Pfizer vaccine to children 5 to 11 years old. Customers who walk into an in-store pharmacy or make an appointment online to get a flu vaccine (free with most insurances) or COVID-19 vaccine will receive a free $10 grocery voucher. 3. DeSantis Wins Again: An administrative judge has ruled against school boards across the state, saying the Florida Department of Health (DOH) has the authority to set rules on quarantines and mask mandates. Deputy Chief Judge Brian Newman said the DOH decides what restrictions go into place to combat a pandemic. (Florida Politics)

4. A machine recount began on Friday morning in a too close to call Democratic primary race for a South Florida congressional seat left open when Democratic U.S. Rep. Alcee Hastings died. The county could go down to a hand recount as well. Healthcare CEO Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick led former Broward County Commissioner Dale Holness in a Friday afternoon update by just three votes. 5. Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava announced Friday that masks are no longer required at county buildings. The change is effective immediately. (CBS Miami)
