Man Accused Of 3 Snatch-And-Run Robberies In SoBe
A 27-year-old man is facing multiple charges in connection with 3 snatch-and-run robberies in South Beach.

MIAMI BEACH, FL — A 27-year-old Hialeah man is facing multiple charges in connection with three snatch-and-run robberies that occurred earlier this week in South Beach, according to police.
Pedro Perez was charged with robbery by sudden snatching, dealing in stolen property and possession of cannabis. He also had an outstanding warrant for possession of cocaine.
Ernesto Rodriguez of the Miami Beach Police Department said Perez was taken into custody following the third robbery on Thursday afternoon at 7 Street and Collins Avenue. Perez was stopped by police along Alton Road and Chase Avenue.

Arrest documents said cellphones were taken in all three of the robberies. At least one of the phones was sold at the Opa Locka Hialeah Flea Market and at least one was recovered. None of the victims were injured.
The first robbery occurred around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday. "The victim was walking along the 1000 block of Collins Avenue when the subject approached from behind, snatched her Samsung cellphone from her hand and fled," said Rodriguez.

The second robbery occurred around 7:10 a.m. Wednesday. "The victim was walking along 18th Street and Collins Avenue when the subject snatched her iPhone from her hand and fled," Rodriguez said.
Arrest documents said Perez confessed to the robberies and circled surveillance images of himself at each of the robbery locations.
