Man Opens Fire On Woman At Traffic Light In Southwest Miami-Dade
Police are asking for the public's help in finding an unidentified man who opened fire on a woman at a Southwest Miami-Dade traffic light.

MIAMI, FL — Miami-Dade police are asking for the public's help in finding an unidentified man who opened fire on a 19-year-old woman at a Southwest Miami-Dade traffic light. The man was riding in a late model blue Hyundai Sonata. The incident occurred on Jan. 8 at the intersection of SW 8 Street and SW 97 Avenue.
Detective Robin Pinkard of the Miami-Dade Police Department said that the man had been arguing with another occupant in the Hyundai when he noticed that the woman had lowered her car radio and was listening to the argument. The incident that took place around midnight.
"Realizing the victim was listening, the subject yelled obscenities at her," according to Pinkard. "Once the light turned green and the victim drove off, she heard a single gunshot."

An unidentified passerby flagged down the woman and said they witnessed the incident.
The victim was not injured but the shot struck her right bumper.

"Investigators are seeking the assistance of the community in identifying and or locating the subject and unidentified passerby," Pinkard added.
The shooter was described as a white male, 6 feet tall with a tan complexion. He was last seen wearing a black hat, dark shirt and shorts.
