A Maryland man has been accused of threatening to kill a South Florida resident and "all Hispanics in Miami and other places."

MIAMI, FL — A Maryland man has been accused of threatening to kill a South Florida resident and "all Hispanics in Miami and other places," according to federal prosecutors.
Thirty-five-year-old Eric Lin of Clarksburg was taken into custody in Seattle, Washington and made his initial appearance Tuesday before a federal judge in Seattle.
The arrest was announced by U.S. Attorney Ariana Fajardo Orshan in Miami and FBI Special Agent in Charge George L. Piro of the Miami Field Office.

"According to allegations in the complaint, between May 30, 2019, and Aug. 13, 2019, Eric Lin made multiple threatening communications via Facebook to injure and kill a South Florida resident and to kill all Hispanics in Miami and other places," federal prosecutors explained.
Lin was charged via a criminal complaint in Miami with making threatening communications following an investigation that was conducted by the the FBI and the Miami Police Department.
