1. The Venetian Causeway has been closed in both directions while Miami Beach is makes emergency repairs on a wastewater main break between Purdy Avenue and the causeway. (CBS Miami)

2. Jackson Memorial Hospital fired neo-natal intensive care nurse Sierra Samuels on Thursday after the nurse violated patient privacy and posted about a birth defect, according to the hospital. (WSVN)

3. Miami Mayoral candidate Francisco "Frank" Pichel, 59, was arrested early Friday on a warrant for impersonating an officer in the Florida Keys, jail and arrest records show. The election is set for this November. (NBC Miami)

4. Miami Dade College continues to see an increase in enrollment as the school recovers from the pandemic. Miami Dade College is projected to have an enrollment of 41,527 students during this school year. (Miami Today)

5. Florida Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried is drafting a rule that would phase out the use of plastic foam products at stores. Fried said studies show that plastic foam is linked to health conditions including cancer, birth defects, vision and hearing loss, and more. (Florida Patch)
