Meet Miami Beach's New Top Cop For Coffee

MIAMI BEACH, FL — You can meet Miami Beach's new top cop Thursday morning and enjoy a cup of coffee at Starbucks.

Chief Rick Clements, who was sworn in on July 1, will be the guest of honor at Starbucks on Lincoln Road in South Beach between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.

Clements will be joined by new Deputy Chief Wayne Jones for the "Coffee With A Cop" event at 601 Lincoln Road.

"This is a great opportunity to learn more about our department's leadership and their vision for our department going forward," explained Ernesto Rodriguez of the Miami Beach Police Department.

Clements, who was shot in the line of duty, succeeded former Chief Daniel Oates.
