1. A Miami Beach police officer was released from the hospital Monday after months-long treatment for COVID-19. Officer JC Sampedro has served with the Miami Beach Police Department since 1996 and is a former U.S. Marine. He was originally hospitalized in July. (Miami Patch)

2. A Florida woman whose husband unsuccessfully sued for ivermectin treatment has died from COVID-19. Palm Beach County Circuit Judge James Nutt rejected the lawsuit last month, saying that allowing judges to counter doctor's decisions could set a dangerous precedent. (Click Orlando)
3. Michael Udine has been sworn in as the new mayor of Broward County. Commissioners voted unanimously to elevate him from his vice mayor position and he will hold the title until next November. (WSVN)
4. A teacher accused of molesting a 12-year-old during a private tutoring session at a public library in Plantation told the girl's mother it was the devil that made him do it, according to an arrest affidavit. 63-year-old Leslie Wolfe was charged with lewd and lascivious molestation of a victim 12 to 16 years old and lewd and lascivious conduct. 5. Some parents of Catholic school students demonstrated Tuesday morning outside the Archdiocese of Miami headquarters saying that they don’t want masks to be required in their schools anymore. The Archdiocese of Miami responded with a statement that read, “as always, the Archdiocese is led by the best interests of the health and well being of its 31,000 students and employees in our Catholic schools."
