1. Efforts by Miami Beach to tackle the party vibe and crime in the popular destination are being labeled racist and classist by critics. Some long-standing businesses that bring visitors and revenue to the area are also complaining that they are being grouped in with troublemaking businesses. (Tampa Bay Times)

2. An owner of a Boost Mobile store in Miami was fatally shot during a robbery on Friday night outside his business. The victim's son believes his father was targeted and wants those responsible caught as well as more police presence in the area. (WSVN)
3. Five Miami Beach officers were charged with battery and three now face felony charges for their actions targeting a man who recorded the police arresting another man. Footage shows officers taunting a bloodied man before drinking his Gatorade. (WPLG Local 10)
4. The Plaza Coral Gables has landed major commercial real estate leasing deals as it looks to reposition the city as a business district. It expects to be 40% leased by the end of 2021 and fully stabilized by the 4th quarter of 2022. (Miami Today)
5. South Florida's only Historically Black University, Florida Memorial University, is in danger of closing after 142 years of operation. If the school does not address its financial situation, it will close by June 2022. (Miami New Times)
