Here are the top five stories in Miami today:

1. A man used his shoelace to choke a woman waiting at a Miami International Airport bus stop on Sunday at around 2 p.m., Miami-Dade police said. 27-year-old Aaron Kali Quinones was charged with attempting felony murder. (Miami Patch)

2. Miami Worldcenter will be getting yet another tower called The Crosby, according to photos uploaded online by Broker Richard L. Greenfield of Green Group Properties. Developers Related Group and Merrimac Ventures recently acquired a parcel at Worldcenter, but have not publicly revealed plans yet. (The Next Miami)

3. Florida Surgeon General Dr. Joseph Ladapo joined Governor Ron DeSantis for a press conference on Monday. Ladapo said the the state would implement a new emphasis on "high-value" testing versus "low-value" testing and stop focusing on testing certain citizens in the pandemic. 62,504 people in Florida have died from COVID-related reasons since the pandemic began. 4. A church in the city of Miami sustained significant damage after a fire broke out inside the two-story building on Monday morning. The fire was reported just after 6 a.m. at Iglesias de Dios at 1500 NW 29th Street. No one was inside the church at the time of the fire. (WPLG Local 10)

5. A South Florida real estate agent was fatally shot by a recently-evicted man who mistakenly thought she was his former landlord, authorities said. 51-year-old Raymond Reese is facing a charge of one count of first-degree murder following his arrest on Thursday. At the police station, Reese confessed to shooting someone. (NBC Miami)
