It was there that the three spotted Alvarez standing behind a vehicle along a swale, according to arrest documents.

The male who was not charged allegedly pulled out a handgun and told Alvarez to hand over his valuables, court documents said. The same person allegedly opened fire on Alvarez when he failed to comply, striking Alvarez in the upper body.

That same male allegedly took Alvarez' valuables, according to court documents, which said Alvarez died at a hospital.
