Miami Marathon 2018 Road Closures

MIAMI, FL — Some 25,000 runners and walkers are expected to take part in the Miami Marathon on Sunday and officials have ordered numerous rolling road closures ahead of the event. The race is scheduled to commence at 5:55 a.m. in front of AmericanAirlines Arena. Street closures are expected to begin at 5 a.m.

Here is a list of anticipated street closures around the event for Sunday except where noted:

• Biscayne Boulevard northbound on Saturday SE 3rd Street to NE 2nd Street from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• Biscayne Boulevard northbound on Sunday SE 3rd Street to NE 11th Terrace from 12 a.m. to 9 a.m.
• SE 1st Street eastbound North Miami Avenue to Biscayne Boulevard from 2:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
• MacArthur Causeway eastbound Biscayne Boulevard to Alton Road and 5 Street from 5 a.m. to 8:10 a.m.
• Alton Road 5 Street and South Pointe Drive in both directions 5 Street to South Pointe Drive from 5 a.m. to 8:25 a.m.
• Ocean Drive in both directions South Pointe Drive to 15 Street from 5:55 a.m. to 8:25 a.m.
• Washington Avenue in both directions 7 Street to 17 Street from 6 a.m. to 8:50 a.m.
• Pennsylvania Avenue in both directions 7 Street to 8 Street from 6:10 a.m. to 9 a.m.
• 17 Street westbound Washington Avenue to Dade Boulevard from 6:10 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
• Dade Boulevard westbound West Avenue Bridge to Venetian Causeway from 6:10 a.m. to 10 a.m.
• Venetian Causeway westbound Purdy Avenue to NE 15th Street from 6:10 a.m. to 10 a.m.
• NE 1st Avenue in both directions NE 15th Street to NE 17th Street from 6:10 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.
• North Miami Avenue in both directions 17th Street to SE 1st Street from 6:15 a.m. to 11 a.m.
• South Miami Avenue southbound SE 1st Street to SW 8th Street from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
• SW 1st Avenue southbound SW 8th Street to SW 15th Street from 6:45 a.m. to 11 a.m.
• South Bayshore Drive in both directions Aviation Avenue to McFarlane Road from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m.
• Grand Avenue westbound Mary Street to Commodore Plaza from 7 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
• Rickenbacker Causeway in both directions South Miami Avenue to West Powell Bridge from 7 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
• Brickell Avenue northbound SW 26th Road to SE 15th Road from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
• South Miami Avenue northbound from SE 15th Road to SE 1st Street from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
