Miami Marlins Plan Back-To-School Events
With the upcoming start of the 2019-20 school year, the Miami Marlins announced a number of back-to-school events around South Florida.

MIAMI – With the upcoming start of the 2019-20 school year, the Miami Marlins announced Sunday that the club is planning a number of back-to-school events around South Florida in partnership with the Kiwanis of Little Havana Foundation.
"Events include the distributions of school supplies in partnership with the Kiwanis of Little Havana Foundation and first day high fives, with appearances by Marlins players, alumni, executives, Mermaids and Billy The Marlin," team officials said.
The first events begin on Monday, Aug. 12, in Palm Beach County and end on Friday,
Aug. 30, in Miami-Dade County.

Here is the schedule of back-to-school high-five events:
- Aug. 12: Lighthouse Elementary School
- Aug. 14: Pasadena Lakes Elementary School, North Side Elementary School
- Aug. 19: Kensington Park Elementary School, Lenora B. Smith Elementary School
