- 🌂 A false flag caused a lockdown yesterday at Miami-Dade County's Kendall campus.
- 🏙️ Miami-Dade County has revealed plans to transform 17 acres of downtown Miami.

1. High-speed train company Brightline has announced that passenger service to Boca Raton is expected to begin before the end of 2022, becoming its fourth station after Miami, Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach. A station in Aventura is also planned before the Orlando station opens in 2023. (The Next Miami)
2. Miami-Dade Detective Cesar "Echy" Echaverry, 29, remains in critical condition at Jackson Memorial Hospital after a shootout on Monday in Miami's Liberty City. The suspect, 32-year-old Jeremy Horton, was shot and killed by police. (WPLG Local 10)
3. Police placed Miami-Dade College's Kendall campus on lockdown due to a suspicious person report on Wednesday. The person was later found to be carrying an umbrella that was falsely identified as a weapon and the lockdown was lifted. (WSVN)
4. Deandre Jamar Bent, 26, was arrested by Pembroke Pines Police for allegedly exposing himself to shoppers at a Bravo Supermarket at about 2 p.m. on Saturday. Police say security footage shows Bent exposing and fondling himself. (NBC Miami)
5. Miami-Dade County has revealed plans for a 17-acre county downtown development project known as MetroCenter. The county wants to re-work downtown Miami into a 24-hour community and hopes to become a "benchmark for urban redevelopment worldwide." (Miami Today)

- Basketball coach Peterlantz Dantes, 40, allegedly attacked a coach and a player after losing a basketball game last week at Coral Springs Gymnasium. Dantes is charged with two counts of battery. (WSVN)
