Man Found Shot To Death In Miami

Miami police said the victim was found shot to death along the Miami River at Curtis Park in the Allapattah section of the city.

MIAMI, FL — The body of a man was found shot to death on Thursday along the Miami River at Curtis Park in the Allapattah section of the city. Miami police said the victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Police were still attempting to identify the victim as of late afternoon.

Officer Kenia Fallat of the Miami Police Department said that the investigation was centered around the 1900 block of NW 24 Avenue.

"According to investigators, the victim, a white male who has yet to be identified, was discovered unresponsive by park employees shortly before 8:50 a.m," Fallat explained. "The victim appeared to have been shot multiple times by unknown offender(s)."

Miami Fire Rescue personnel pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

"The motive behind the shooting remains unknown at this time," Fallat added.
