1. David Beckham and brothers Jorge and Jose Mas have completed their buyout of Inter Miami CF soccer team from former co-owners Marcelo Claure and Masayoshi Son. Earlier this week, Inter Miami also announced its first jersey sponsorship deal with cryptocurrency XBTO worth $4 to $5 million per year. (ESPN)
2. A woman has been arrested after making a bomb threat at Miami International Airport. She told another passenger on the plane that she had a bomb in her luggage, leading to an evacuation and sweep that found no evidence of a bomb. Suelene Souza has been charged by authorities with false report of an explosive. (WSVN)
3. Miami is ranked the number one city for best nightlife in the United States by Time Out. 83% of people in the survey voted Miami as the best city for nightlife in the U.S.A. and also ranked it 3rd in the world. (WPLG Local 10)
4. Anti-vaccine South Florida activist Laura Loomer has contracted COVID-19 and says it has left her body feeling like it got "hit by a bus." Loomer still has no plans to get vaccinated. (Miami New Times)
5. A Palm Beach County man pleaded guilty in an Oath Keeper-affiliated conspiracy case related to the January 6 U.S. Capitol breach, according to the U.S. Department of Justice. Jason Dolan pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy and one count of obstruction of an official proceeding. (Patch Miami)
