1. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service may designate 1,977 Miami-Dade acres as a critical habitat for the Miami tiger beetle impacting a Zoo Miami and Miami Wilds water park project. A final ruling is expected September 2022. (Miami Today)
2. A South Florida man says he was drugged and robbed after a night out with 2 women he met at a Brickell restaurant and bar that ended in Hialeah. He ended up without his Rolex and $3,000 he took for his night out. (WSVN)
3. A 12-year-old student was arrested Thursday at a Broward County middle school after police said he was found to have knives, a slingshot and rocks in his backpack. The student faces felony charges of possession of weapons on a school property. (WPLG Local 10)
4. An elderly man was seriously injured after he was attacked by a machete-wielding suspect near Northwest 22nd Avenue and 28th Street in Miami early Friday, police said. Police found the victim in a pool of blood and he was rushed to Ryder Trauma Center in serious condition. No information has been released on the suspects involved. (NBC Miami)
5. A floating tiki hut in Key West has made the list of the coolest Airbnb rentals in the United States by Condé Nast. The generator-powered tiki hut offers a number of amenities, including air conditioning, Wi-Fi, electricity, and fresh water. (Patch Florida)
