MIAMI, FL — Miami's bicycle bank robber apparently struck again Monday. But this time he left his unusual two-wheel escape vehicle at home.
Investigators believe the same person who robbed the First Bank branch in Hialeah Saturday morning also robbed the TD Bank branch at 720 NW 57 Ave in nearby Miami on Monday morning.

The only difference is that he made his getaway from the First Bank branch on a bicycle, according to Special Agent Michael Leverock and spokesman Jim Marshall of the FBI in Miami.
Leverock said that the bandit made his getaway in a much more conventional Toyota Scion on Monday.

"The robber entered the bank, brandished a gun and demanded everyone to lay on the floor," Leverock and Marshall explained. "The robber then jumped the counter and demanded money from a bank employee."
The FBI released a photograph of the First Bank branch robbery taken from a surveillance camera in which the fit bandit could be seen pedaling outside the bank.
"Whoever did that is a crazy person," one customer at the Miami TD branch told Local 10.
The FBI would not say how much money was taken during either robbery. The bandit covered his face during Monday's robbery.

"Customers were in the bank at the time of the robbery," according to Leverock and Marshall with respect to both bank heists. "There were no injuries."
