5 Shot In Northwest Miami-Dade, Including Teen

Miami-Dade police said the victims were apparently visiting friends on Tuesday night when they were struck by gunfire.

MIAMI, FL — Five people were shot on Tuesday night, including a 17-year-0ld boy. Miami-Dade police said the victims were apparently struck by gunfire as they visited with friends outside a home. The shootings occurred at 8:16 p.m. in the 1700 block of NW 86 Terrace.

Detective Lee Cowart of the Miami-Dade Police Department said that the victims also included a 20-year-old woman and three men, ages 18, 19 and 23.

"Our hearts go out to the victims and their families," Cowart told reporters at the scene.

All of the victims were listed in good condition at Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center.
