1. The stability of Miami’s city government has been seriously questioned after the public battle between Police Chief Art Acevedo and three city commissioners. The fight has created questions about whether elected officials can be investigated and arrested by Miami police. (NBC Miami)

2. Bar shooting: A man was hospitalized after a shooting at Better Days Miami along Southeast Sixth Street in Brickell. He was taken to Ryder Trauma Center and is listed as in stable condition. (WSVN)
3. Incoming: Miami International Airport is projected to shatter record passenger numbers now that the Biden administration has made plans to reopen the border to international passengers. Airlines saw an immediate surge in bookings after the announcement. (The Next Miami)
4. South Florida Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz on Monday filed a bill she calls the “School Shooting Safety and Preparedness Act.” It directs the Departments of Education, Justice and Health and Human Services to release detailed and annual reports on topics such as school safety, fatality statistics, as well as shooter and victim demographics. 5. Miami Beach City Commission candidate Kristen Rosen Gonzalez has settled a defamation lawsuit with former Miami Beach City Commission candidate Rafael Velasquez. The settlement resulted in a $110,000 payment from Rosen Gonzalez to Velasquez, of which more than $60,000 will pay the plaintiff's former attorneys for fees and costs. (Miami New Times)
