1. Numerous South Florida entities are under review for possible vaccine passport ban violations by the Florida Department of Health. The entities could face fines of $5,000 from the state of Florida per violation. (CBS Miami)

2. Matt Amodio's historic run on “Jeopardy!” ended thanks to an actor originally from Coral Gables, Jonathan Fisher. Amodio ranked 2nd on the all-time consecutive wins list. (WPLG Local 10)

3. City of Miami moved Monday to oust Police Chief Art Acevedo who said the city was run by the "Cuban mafia." This is after weeks of drama between the city and the Acevedo. Miami City Manager Art Noriega hired Acevedo in March from Houston. Assistant Police Chief Manny Morales will take over on an interim basis. (NBC News)

4. Spirit Airlines says it is experiencing strong demand for its new flights to Miami and is already considering an expansion of service. Bookings for the holiday season are already surging. (The Next Miami)

5. Dr. Vickie Cartwright said she is honored to be considered for a permanent superintendent position in Broward County after serving as interim superintendent. Cartwright replaced Robert Runcie who stepped down after he was arrested on charges of lying to a grand jury. (CBS Miami)
