Missing Girl Believed To Be With Suspected Miami Gardens Gunman

Miami Gardens police issued a missing person's alert for a 15-year-old girl believed to be with the suspected gunman.

MIAMI GARDENS, FL — Miami Gardens residents in the Bunch Park area were being told to stay indoors for much of Friday as police searched for a suspected gunman. Meanwhile, Miami Gardens police issued a missing person's alert for a 15-year-old girl believed to be with the suspect.

"Fifteen-yearold Janiya Johnson is believed to be in the company of the subject wanted in this morning’s shooting incident in the Bunche Park area," Miami Gardens police said. "If you know their whereabouts, please call 9-1-1."

Miami Gardens police said earlier that the man was being sought in connection with a double shooting that occurred shortly after 9 a.m. in the 15700 block of NW 23rd Avenue.

Local 10 News reported that a third shooting victim was later discovered.

"Person with a firearm still at large," Miami Gardens police said in a warning to residents. "We urge residents to stay indoors."
