Possible Shark Bite Reported In Miami-Dade County

BAL HARBOUR, FL — First responders reported a possible shark bite off the South Florida Coast in Miami-Dade County.

Erika Benitez of Miami-Dade Fire Rescue said the incident happened around 12:40 p.m. on Thursday.

Miami-Dade fire rescue received a report of a boater, diver that was possibly bitten by a shark two miles out of the Haulover Inlet," she said.

Fireboat 21 brought the victim to shore where they were taken to a local hospital, she said.

The victim was not identified by first responders.
