2. Publix has placed purchasing limits on select items due to shortages. Items on the list include cream cheese, bacon, bath tissue, canned pie filling, and more. The list is subject to change at anytime. The grocery giant said demand for specific holiday items has also contributed to widespread shortages. (NBC Miami)

3. Florida is ranked the number two state with the lowest flu vaccination rates in the United States of America. The states with the highest flu vaccination rates are Rhode Island, South Dakota, and Massachusetts. Almost anyone over 6 months of age can get a flu vaccine. (WFLA)

4. The body of a missing Coconut Creek man was discovered Friday in a South Florida lake. 60-year-old Daniel Potter was missing after going out on his canoe and not returning. (CBS Miami)

5. A bill filed Thursday by Senator Ileana Garcia (R-Miami) in the Florida Senate seeks to ensure that patients and residents of hospitals, nursing homes and other health-care facilities can have visitors. It would require facilities to allow visitors during a pandemic and if unsafe, facilities would be forced to “develop alternate visitation protocols that allow visitation to the greatest extent possible while maintaining client health and safety” under the bill.
