Publix, Target, Walmart: Which Grocers Are Open On July 4, 2019?
Patch checked with Publix, Target, Walmart, Walgreens and other big retailers to find out which stores are open on July 4.
BRADENTON, FL — If you find yourself facing Thursday's July 4 cookout without any buns or ketchup take a breath.
A number of Florida grocery stores will be open for at least part of the July 4 holiday while others will be operating on a regular schedule.
Patch checked with Publix, Target, Walmart, Walgreens and other big retailers to find out which stores will be operating on a holiday schedule for July 4.

"Publix stores are open normal business hours on July 4th," said a spokesperson for Publix.
"Walgreens stores will be open regular business hours on Fourth of July, though select pharmacies will be open at reduced hours," according to a Walgreens spokesperson, who said that the hours vary by location.

"Target stores will be operating on Fourth of July with our normal store business hours that vary by store," said a spokesperson for the retailer.
A spokesperson for Walmart said they too will be following regular business hours on the holiday.
Costco stores will be closed on Independence Day.
BJs will be open until 7 p.m. on the holiday but the optical department will be closed all day.
The Fresh Market spokesperson told Patch that all stores in the country, including Florida, will follow a regular schedule on July 4.
A spokesperson for Winn-Dixie and Fresco y Mas said both stores will follow regular business hours on July 4.
