1. Miami-Dade Mayor Daniella Levine Cava spent part of the day working at Versailles Restaurant on Friday to celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month. The event she worked also celebrated Hispanic heritage and the 50th year the restaurant has been in operation. (CBS Miami)

2. The manager of a Metro by T-Mobile store in Lauderhill was shot by a fired employee, police say. The victim is in critical condition after being shot several times and police are looking for tips about the current whereabouts of the employee. (WSVN)

3. A Palm Beach Gardens man is demanding that doctors give his wife Ivermectin for COVID-19 treatment in a new lawsuit. She has been in a medically induced coma and on a ventilator for over two weeks. The FDA has warned against taking Ivermectin, a parasite medicine typically used on animals. (NBC Miami)

4. Miami has now become the 2nd most expensive residential real estate market in the U.S. and rent is still rising. Miami’s overall average rent is $2,432 per month, slightly below New York metro area's $2,455, where prices have dropped since the pandemic began. (The Next Miami)

5. A South Florida rabbi and member of the far-right group the Proud Boys is offering religious exemptions for COVID-19 vaccine requirements. He estimates he has already provided 200 letters to those seeking them. (Miami New Times)
