1. Looking to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month in South Florida? Numerous local restaurants are offering deals for the occasion including Caja Caliente, La Placita, Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar Fort Lauderdale, and more . (Miami New Times)
2. Wells Fargo, the financial services company with nearly $1.9 trillion in assets, has officially opened at Regatta Harbour in Coconut Grove. It is the second major tenant to open in the space and stands at 2,373-square-feet. Regatta Harbour has a planned completion in 2022 with more than 100,000 square feet of entertainment, retail, and restaurants. (Miami Today)
3. Miami-Dade County’s most recent Homeless Census shows the lowest homeless population in 25 years. More than 6,100 were placed in hotels instead of shelters, part of a COVID-19 pandemic change that helped people get back on their feet through a quarantine program. The quarantine program will last at least through the end of 2022. (CBS Miami)
4. Sasha Krilov and Misha Zelman, founders of a popular lobster and burger chain in London, are opening Klaw restaurant inside Miami Women’s Club in Edgewater this November. King crab will be the featured menu item, while guests can also enjoy steak, scallops, oysters, prawns, and more. (Eater Miami)
5. The Florida Department of Health in Broward County has issued a safety alert for the City of Weston after a fox in the area tested positive for rabies. Residents should make sure inoculations are up to date for vaccinated pets and at-risk livestock and make sure pets are leashed. Kids should be kept away from wild animals, such as raccoons, skunks, and foxes. (WSVN)
