1. Lawmakers in Florida's House of Representatives voted in favor of moving forward with plans to remove the state from the federal OSHA program. Democrats have reminded the public that if the plan is passed, the governor's plans would still need to receive federal approval, which would take 2 to 5 years, and must meet OSHA standards by law regardless. 2. Popular South Florida restaurant Marion Miami has launched a seasonal offering called Lobster Tuesdays. New options include Lobster Sashimi Tacos and Lobster Cavatelli Pasta. Live music will be provided by Hushmoney to create a night of dancing, performances, and good vibes. Reservations are recommended. (Ocean Drive)
3. Winter exhibits are being offered at Miami museums this holiday season. Gold Coast Railway is starting the winter with Walt Disney’s Railroad Story on Saturday, November 20th. Vizcaya Late: Holiday Evening will be held December 1st from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The Black Archives Historic Lyric Theater will be hosting comedian Flame Monroe at the GlassHouse Comedy Experience on December 17th. A South Florida teacher from Palm Beach whose husband sued for ivermectin treatment has died of COVID-19. 47-year-old Tamara Dock spent 12 weeks in Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center's intensive care unit before her death. Palm Beach County Circuit Judge James Nutt rejected his lawsuit. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has not approved ivermectin to treat COVID-19. (Miami Patch)
5. Retired University of Miami professor, Bruce Bagley, has been sentenced to six months in prison for secretly laundering millions of dollars from Venezuela. Bagley was often sought as an academic expert on drug trafficking in Latin America by Congress, the media, and even the CIA. (WPLG Local 10)
