1. The legal fees and costs associated with the deadly condo collapse in Surfside could reach $100 million, Miami-Dade Circuit Judge Michael Hanzman said Friday. He urged all sides to make mediated settlements of the numerous claims from the incident. 98 people were killed when the structure collapsed. (CBS Miami)

2. NBA player Meyers Leonard, a former Miami Heat player who once used an anti-Semitic slur while livestreaming a videogame, suggested this week that he had suicidal thoughts in the aftermath of the incident. It was Leonard's first time addressing the slur in public since it derailed his career last March. (The Forward)

3. The Miami International Boat Show is coming back this year to the Miami Beach Convention Center from February 16th to Sunday, February 20th, during Presidents Day Weekend. The event is expected to attract more than 100,000 visitors. (Miami's Community News)

4. An accused dog thief was captured by police just a day after, Fort Lauderdale Police allege, she was caught on hotel surveillance picking up the pet and walking out the door in Fort Lauderdale. Agustina Natali Berrondo has been charged with grand theft. Berrondo's bond was set at $1,000 and she refused to go in front of a scheduled judge hearing on Friday. (WSVN)

5. Florida International University President Dr. Mark B. Rosenberg resigned in a letter to faculty on Friday. Dr. Rosenberg cited his and his wife's health as the reason for his departure. Under his leadership, FIU increased enrollment to almost 58,000 students, improved graduation rates by 23%, and hired over 400 new full-time faculty members. (NBC Miami)
