A missing 17-year-old Michigan boy was found safe in Miami after appearing on a livestream for social media content creators Clix and Lacy.
MIAMI, FL — A 17-year-old boy who disappeared in May from Michigan was recently found safe in Miami after appearing on a livestream, reports say.
Flint Township Police confirmed Thursday that Troy Coleman, who has been missing since May 17, was located in Miami.
"The Flint Township Police Department would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everybody who shared the missing person information about Troy Coleman. He has been found safe in Miami, Florida and we are working with local authorities to arrange his safe return to Michigan to be with his family," police said in a Facebook post.

Coleman disappeared from his Flint Township home and could have boarded a bus with the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, according to a May 21 Missing People in America Facebook post.
"His friends and family have not heard from him and are growing concerned," MPIA said at the time.

Coleman was found this week after his brother spotted him on a Clix and Lacy livestream, according to nonprofit A Voice for the Voiceless, which distributes information about missing persons cases. The original platform for the stream is unknown.
The organization shared what appears to be a portion of the livestream Wednesday and claims Coleman's family presumed he was dead, a notion also claimed on a tweet from Clix and Lacy's Faze Lacy.

Lacy shared on Wednesday what appears to be a message from someone saying he was Coleman's older brother, who claimed Coleman's "case was put on homicide in Michigan."
According to the tweet, the brother said Coleman was seen in the video wearing green shorts.
"Yesterday on stream (Coleman) came up to me and Clix and now his family knows he is alive and in Miami," Lacy tweeted.
On Thursday, Lacy said he was able to contact Coleman's brother and informed him of the hotel where Coleman was staying.
"He has been found and placed in a holding cell in Miami until he gets transferred back to Michigan with his family. The power of the internet is insane thank you guys," Lacy tweeted.
